Welcome to Woodend Playgroup
Woodend Playgroup offers a safe and friendly environment for preschool aged children to play, learn and make new friends.
It’s a fantastic way to get out of the house and catch-up with other ‘grown ups’ within the community while your kids are having fun!
You can join an existing group or start a new one with friends or members of your Parents’ Group.
Woodend Playgroup has been operating for more than 40 years. Hundreds of local families have joined together over the years and created life long memories and friendships.
We'd love to have you join us!
Due to COVID-19, there are a few changes to how Playgroup will run:
Sessions are limited to 10 families, with a total of 20 people (excluding children under 12 months).
Each session is required to nominate a COVID Marshall who is responsible for ensuring COVID-safe practices are adhered to.
All members and attendees (12 years+) must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination before attending Playgroup, or provide proof of exemption.
All members MUST check in using the QR code at the front door and sanitise hands upon entry.
Masks must be worn inside.
There will be a limited selection of toys available, BYO toys encouraged.
We ask that members sanitise toys, surfaces and equipment before and after each session.
More information regarding our COVIDSafe plan will be shared with you in our member info pack upon your enrolment.
We trust these measures are of no great surprise given the current circumstances. We thank you in advance for your assistance and cooperation!
We value and celebrate diversity and welcome our families exactly as they are.
Woodend Playgroup acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land, the Dja Dja Wurrung people, on which our Playgroup is located. We respect that this land always was and always will be Aboriginal land. Aboriginal sovereignty has never been ceded.
We pay our respect to Elders past and present, as well as all Aboriginal people who have fought, and continue to fight, for equality, self-determination, culture, Country and community.
