The Committee is made up of parents who volunteer their time to keep Playgroup running smoothly. Meetings are held at Playgroup on the second Tuesday of the month. New Committee members are always welcome!
Helen - Purchasing
Helen makes sure Playgroup is nicely stocked with all the essentials (caffeine in the form of coffee and tea included!). She will also purchase play equipment and other items. If you notice any supplies are low, please reach out to Helen at
Jill - Enrolments / Marketing / PR
Jill responds to any membership enquiries, assigns new members to sessions, and chases members for forms and fees. Jill also manages this website, and looks for ways to raise the profile of Woodend Playgroup within our community.
Events / Enrolments
This role organises fundraisers (such as cake stalls, sausage sizzles and our major fundraising event which is held bi-annually). Other events this role oversees include Bush Playgroup, social events for parents, and seasonal activities such as our fabulous Christmas Party.
Olivia - Marketing / PR / Events
Olivia is our social media queen. She is super passionate about creating a community atmosphere at Playgroup. She is also our poster queen (gotta love a teacher with a laminator!)
Rebecca - Secretary
Bec is the glue holding us all together! She is responsible for ensuring all Playgroup documents and records are kept. Bec sets the agenda for meetings, takes meeting minutes along with action items and timelines. Bec also writes and receives correspondence, acts as a co-signatory to the bank account, and liaises with Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV).
Maintenance and Compliance
This role organises repairs and ensures Council compliance requirements are met. If you notice a repair job while attending Playgroup please let our Maintenance and Compliance officer know via
Susie - Treasurer
Susie handles all things money and budgets. She ensures our committee is across and approving all spending, reconciles membership enrolments and fees, and makes sure that Playgroup is in a good financial position. What a ledge!
